The project will be delivered by Perfect Circle, a consortium comprising Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM, on behalf of Scape Group’s Built Environment Consultancy (BECS) framework.

The scheme consists of four individual projects, including the new build Western Expansion Secondary School, a purpose built health centre, an extension to St Mary and St Giles Primary School in Stony Stratford, and a multi-story car park adjacent to Milton Keynes railway station.

The comprehensive works will provide more than 2200 primary and secondary school places for local families, 700 car park spaces at Milton Keynes railway station and will also ensure greater primary care health facilities are available for the growing community. These projects will cater for the area’s increasing population, creating job opportunities and boosting the local economy.

Perfect Circle will provide project and cost management services and will deliver cost effective solutions through early design and contract involvement.

Commenting on the appointment, Gleeds Director Jon Enever, said: “These exciting projects are going to completely open up this part of Milton Keynes and we look forward to working with the Council to deliver much needed facilities to support the expanding local community. Our project team will utilise their expertise across all sectors to provide a first-class service on behalf of the Council and we look forward to work starting on site.”

Kamran Rashid, Capital Programme Director of Milton Keynes Council, added: “We’re pleased to have Perfect Circle on board to support the delivery of infrastructure and facilities for Milton Keynes’ growing population. The expansion programme has been carefully planned to ensure the development of this area will benefit the local community and will set the standard for future development programmes across Milton Keynes in the years to come.”

The development is due to start in the second quarter of 2018, and complete by the end of 2019.
