Gleeds appoints Neil McMullen as Director of Health

Gleeds has appointed Neil McMullen as a Director within the business’ health team.

Neil joins Gleeds from Currie & Brown where he held a senior position as regional director, bringing with him over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry and specialist knowledge of the health sector.

Neil is highly regarded in his field and currently sits on the Department of Health’s ProCure 22 (previously P21+) Financial and Commercial Working Group, representing the interests of NHS Trusts. He has also provided the Department of Health’s P21+ and NEC contract training programme and has been a consultee for NHS guidance and publications, such as the Healthcare Premises Cost Guides. He therefore plays a pivotal role at Gleeds in advising the NHS on best practice and cost control for construction work procured by the organisation all over the UK.

Based in the company’s Southampton office but with a nationwide mandate, Neil’s new position will involve leading Gleeds’ healthcare partnering frameworks and developing the health professional team.

Gleeds is currently working with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust on their P21+ Acute Assessment Unit, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a number of P21+ projects and advising a number of Trusts regarding ProCure22 projects.
